ORGANIZING UPDATE

 2/25/08

Due to number of requests from various departments concerning organizing, Teamsters Local 486 in Saginaw has formed a coalition with Teamsters Local 580 out of Lansing and Teamsters Local 406 out of Grand Rapids and Traverse City in an effort to better service the needs of the employees at the Casino.   

We will continue to maintain the office in Mt. Pleasant and plan to increase our office hours.  Representatives from Local 406, 486 or 580 will be contacting you in the near future.  We will contact one department at a time to discuss future organizing plans.  Meetings will be scheduled in the near future within individual departments to discuss organizing and answer any questions you may have.

 In the meantime, please consider signing an organizing card and contacting our office to get your questions regarding organizing answered.
